A Bit of Advice Concerning YouTube Channel Designs

It shouldn't be too hard to find out that YouTube is forcing a change to it's channel designs soon, but how many people remember the channel design change from 2009?  If you remember the '09 change or not, there's something you should keep in mind when searching for information on YouTube's upcoming channel design change.

Changes to YouTube Subscriber Counts

YouTube is changing how Subscribers are being counted.  These changes are intended to remove inactive and closed accounts from total subscriber counts as well as improve techniques for preventing artificial inflation of subscriber counts.

Google and YouTube at CES 2012

Google and YouTube will be speaking and keynoting at this year's Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Los Vegas.  Various booths will also be exhibiting some Google and YouTube products and demos.

YouTube for Xbox 360 Spotlight

The YouTube app for the Xbox 360 is here, and YouTube is currently spotlighting the feature.  They even put together a quick video so you can see what it looks like, and how to get it.

Xbox 360 Dashboard Update Coming December 6

The Official Xbox.com Blog is reporting that the Xbox 360 Dashboard update will be released to everyone on December 6th.

YouTube Makes New Design Official

For those who saw it earlier (in the forms of Cosmic Panda or the homepage experiment), YouTube's latest design is now live.

YouTube Analytics Replaces Insight

Have you looked at the new YouTube Analytics page, yet?  It's the replacement for the older YouTube Insight.  It contains most of the same info, but with a new interface.  You can read the official blog entry here.

Analytics has it's share of good and bad compared to the older Insight interface, but overall seems to make the important numbers available faster.  Now, those numbers just need to be updated more frequently.
